Hello from the Strombergs!

We "ate" all of our Euros! There is nothing like Italian Pizza! Sage is the same over seas as here!

I thought it was about time to show you some of our pictures from Italy! We had such an amazing, crazy, whirlwind trip! We traveled to Venice, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Trieste, and Maniago ( a little town where our friends lived). The Italian people were extremely kind and generous - if not a little bit awed by our presence. Every one we saw counted our kids. "Quatro Bambinos?" They all loved Hali though. "Ciao, Ciao bella." I recently learned that Ciao comes from an old Venetian saying that literally means, " I am your slave." Not quite sure how it turned into Hello and Goodbye but everyone says it.
We traveled non-stop to see so much of the country in only 9 days. You could stay in Italy for months and never see everything! We did get to see "The David." Sage said "she couldn't stop looking there." He was pretty handsome I do have to admit! Jace also peed in every place we went - including the Sistine Chapel (we used a diaper). I am writing a story about it. I'll email it one of these days! I guess that's what you get for dragging 4 little kids across the Atlantic and through Italy!

On top of the Duomo in Florence. We climbed 462 steps to the top. The Duomo - the dome - is covered in paintings of Heaven and Hell. Satan is literally biting the head off of one the people. Pretty gory stuff but, hey, maybe they scare their kids into being good! Maybe I should try that more often!
We took over 500 pictures on our trip so needless to say these are just a few of the highlights!
If you ever get the chance, Go to Italy!!!
Ciao!

CUT! and that's a wrap folks....

This is what happened when I went out alone, you know, no kids. Brett and Matthew were in the middle of an important game of Zelda when Liza went into the other room.  "She was being really quiet, I should have known"  is what Brett said about the incident.  yeah, yeah , yeah.
I took Liza to get the chop repaired and it isn't that bad I guess, but a lot of people asked me what happened to her hair on Sunday, oh well.  life goes on and it is only hair.

Liza's reaction:  "but I used the kids scissors, Mom!"
Good girl liz .......

                                                            chop! chop! chop!

                                                     Don't you like it?

I didn't know Liza had that much hair....

So i am going to get this Tokyo thing right this time, Brad is turning 34 years old today in Japan, but he still hanging on to 33 here in America. Whenever Brad comes around you can help but smile, he has a contagious joy about him. He always made up dumb jokes growing up and probably still does. One of the classics is... Why did the monkey fall out the tree? ......... Because he was dead. He is an awesome dad and a wonderful husband, at least that's what Jill thinks. And i couldn't ask for a better brother. Have a great birthday and don't party all night. I love you, love your lil bro Clark.

Twenty-three years ago, Tarkie Blaine Pierson was born. The last is always the best!!!! Clark is the hero of all the 11 nieces and nephews!!! Clark is always ready to have fun and be crazy!!!
Here's little ethie!!! We called him that because he was so skinny he looked like an ethiopian.

Here's little Tarkie Blaine with the famous thumb. Clark was the cutest little boy in the world. This picture was taken around the time of the famous feeding the chickens incident. If you don't remember that, give clark a call and ask him all about it.

Nice bum where you from? Brett has a different response than others. Ask Natalie she can tell you the loving words her older brother shared with her. By the way Clark, whose shorts are those?

Clark has had many hairstyles and colors. Here he is sporting the mohawk!!
Despite the color, style, or texture, WE LOVE YOU LITTLE BROTHER!!!!!
Happy Birthday!!!
